Food: Does it really taste that good?

NOPE! So, since I last weighed myself I’ve only gained weight. That’s right! GAINED. Cause I’ve done none of the things I’ve committed to doing. Being mindful feels exhausting.

“Nothing tastes better than being skinny. healthy.”

B

I don’t currently nor have I ever had a skinny ambition but whether your body goals are to shed some booty or to gain some booty, whatever gets in the way of your goals couldn’t possibly be that good.

The holidays are laden with delicious temptations. I love to cook and even more I love watching people enjoy what I’ve cooked. But I can’t think of a single thing I’ve eaten since then that is worth…

  • Back pain
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Pants that hurt
  • Toes that seem too far way

You get the picture. So…

I’m going to give one of these trendy diets a shot. Yep. I HATE THEM, but at least this one doesn’t seem to take as much thought and the food seems really accessible and the best part is I’VE SEEN IT WORK for so many people. I even have a few friends who are doing it and seeing results.

To Keto or not to Keto… That is the question.

B-sphere he-he

If you haven’t already guessed what it is, It’s KETO. Yep. Basic I know, but if it will help me get to a better place in my health, I’m willing to try it. A friend of mine started a blog on it, Keto Noir. She and her family have seen amazing results and she has great content that gets you started on what could be a daunting journey.

One of the things that I didn’t realize about Keto was that calories do matter. I thought it was meat and veggie free for all (within reason) but it’s not. It’s recommended that you get your recommended Macros, and track them in My Fitness Pal (MFP). ruled.me has an excellent calculator that I used to get my Macros and then loaded them in my MFP app.

Here are my Macros (basically a closer look at the recommended make up of the calories I consume on the daily basis.):

From ruled.me: Based on your inputs, we suggest you eat: 1841 calories. From those:

  • 159 g fats
  • 20 g carbs
  • 82 g protein

On a similar but not quite the same topic, I’ve been wondering about this whole “Waist Trainer” thing. I don’t want to crush my organs, which is all I can remember when this was a trend, but normal looking women seem to be doing it. I wonder if there is any value to doing it.

So tell me sis. Have you tried Keto? What worked or didn’t work? Are you doing something else that is amazing or not so amazing? Please share it.
